An exciting opportunity exists at Central Australian Women’s Legal Service to join our legal team.
CAWLS is seeking a self-motivated candidate with high-order advocacy and written communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrated legal practice experience and a strong work ethic. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about improving access to justice for women in Central Australia and the Barkly.
CAWLS is a busy community legal practice with a vibrant and dedicated team committed to providing representation and excellent outcomes for our clients through law reform, legal advice and representation, community legal education and outreach. Many of our clients are women who have experienced or are experiencing Domestic and Family violence.
Under the direction of the Principal Solicitor, the Health Justice Partnership (HJP) Solicitor will be engaged in legal advice, representation and referrals for clients who are patients or clients at a range of health service providers in Central Australia and the Barkly
Excellent ongoing training and on the job support will be provided to the successful applicants.
Total effective package includes: base salary, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance.
As an HJP Solicitor with Central Australian Women’s Legal Service you will be working in a small but busy and tight knit team. You will assist Senior Solicitors and have carriage of a number of your own matters.
It is crucial that you have a passion for civil law and its application in day to day life.
