ROLE

This really is a unique opportunity, well suited to a passionate and experienced Planned Giving professional genuinely interested in working for an organisation committed to backing the brightest minds with the boldest ideas in cancer research.! As Planned Giving Manager you will use your previous fundraising/revenue generation experience to develop strategy and drive engagement and lifetime value from donors/audiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to step into a fundraising management position, develop and drive the strategy, take ownership and make a real impact!

Reporting to the Head of Donor Engagement, you will play a vital role in leading the strategy to deliver the planned giving program. You’ll work collaborative with a small dynamic and hard-working team, building relationships with existing and new significant stakeholders and launch innovative new campaigns for the program.

The role is broad and will suit someone looking to build on their solid knowledge in individual giving/bequests fundraising with strong relationship and collaboration skills, you will be strategic, have good judgement and ability to meet targets and manage budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In conjunction with the Head of Donor Development, you will develop and implement strategies for the Planned Giving program.
  • Deliver growth, managing stewardship of existing whilst building pipeline of new prospects
  • Develop strategic Bequest events throughout the year
  • Develop strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to raise the profile of ACRF.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with solicitors and funeral directors
  • Collaborate and contribute energy and ideas across department, keeping up to date with latest fundraising developments
  • Ensure communications, donor journeys and collateral is appropriate, on brand and distributed in time.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Previous experience in fundraising highly regarded (preferably within Individual Giving)
  • Proven success in securing of gifts
  • Proven relationship management and networking skills, with an ability to build meaningful relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Passionate about delivering high levels of client service, developing and executing programs and managing relationships at all levels.
  • High level project management skills with proven experience of meeting objectives and targets.
  • Strong empathy and compassion with genuine passion for mission and works with integrity.
  • Excellent creative judgement with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possesses initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of working in a cross functional team creating and delivering events.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial attitude, able to analyse information to produce fundraising strategies.
  • Collaborative worker with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Tenacious and adaptable with a solution focussed attitude and ability to take initiative and passion for the cause.
  • Positive can-do attitude with strong work ethic and ability to manage relationships.
