ROLE

As Philanthropy Manager you will use your strategic fundraising / revenue generation experience to implement and drive support and engagement from high value donors / audiences with a focus on Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations and government funding bodies to launch a new project / orchestra.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to step into an existing Philanthropy Manager position, develop and drive the strategy, take ownership and make a real impact.

Reporting to the CEO, you will play a vital role in delivering the fundraising programs. You’ll exercise your finesse in building strong collaborative relationships with new and existing significant stakeholders and have opportunity to be creative and launch innovative new campaigns.

The role is busy and varied and will suit someone looking to build on their good knowledge of relationship fundraising, you will be creative and strategic with the ability to meet targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with CEO (and board) to develop and implement fundraising strategies for acquisition of major gift, trusts, foundations and government funding bodies
  • Develop philanthropic giving program, nurturing donors through pipeline development and management
  • Research and engage with high net worth individuals
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, sourcing and securing new supporters
  • Develop, maintain and update processes and procedures, working with the CEO and broader team to implement effective campaigns and support fundraising events
  • Support the submission and management of grants providing relevant fundraising reporting
  • Represent the organisation internally and externally

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Previous experience in fundraising highly regarded (major gift fundraising corporate partnerships preferred)
  • Proven relationship management and networking skills, with an ability to establish and maintain long term relationships
  • High level project management skills with proven experience of meeting objectives and targets
  • Strong relationship building capability with integrity
  • Ability to work autonomously with ability to work flexible hours where required
  • Excellent creative judgement with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial attitude, able to conceptualise fundraising strategies
  • Tenacious and adaptable with a solution focussed attitude and ability to take initiative and passion for the cause
  • Positive can-do attitude with strong work ethic and ability to manage relationships
