ROLE

Due to movement in the team, our client is seeking a National Strategic Partnerships Manager responsible for driving growth and engagement in the strategic partnership fundraising portfolio targeting multi-year national, brand aligned corporate partnerships and supporting corporate giving and engagement. The role leads the on the national strategy for new and retained partners, workplace giving, corporate volunteering partner activation and integration.

The position works in close collaboration with:

  • National Managers in Marketing and Campaigns and Strategic Fundraising on the development of new and integrated fundraising campaigns
  • Other members of the Marketing and Fundraising team, sharing responsibility for driving diverse revenue streams and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • The database and supporter services team to ensure all fundraising campaigns are informed by supporter behavioural and motivation insight and that the supporter experience is integrated seamlessly in all aspects of our fundraising operation
  • Communicate across the business and the wider network to effectively align the supporter experience, deliver partnership opportunity and to build a consistent supporter, brand experience

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Together with the Executive Director, Marketing and Fundraising, develop a clear growth strategy for brand partnerships that maximises revenue and supports mental health and suicide prevention advocacy objectives in aligned industry sectors
  • Lead and support the end-to-end pitch and strategic partnership process including developing the partner strategy, engaging external partners, developing a mutually beneficial commercial construct, contract negotiation and implementation
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams across Service Design, Marketing, Legal, Stakeholder Relations to bring 'first of their kind' partnerships to life
  • Establish and lead a robust and comprehensive process through identification, qualification and execution of potential partnership opportunities
  • Cultivating strong business relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating on corporate development opportunities, and building long-lasting partnerships
  • Understand and communicate market trends to identify future partnership opportunities
  • Developing different commercial models to aid negotiation and deliver the best outcomes for the partnerships
  • Ensure quality communication and clear processes and structures are in place to track and maintain new and existing partnerships through our CRM system • Ensure that contractual commitments are met on both sides of the partnerships
  • Develop long term, mutually beneficial relationships with senior executives of current and prospective strategic partners who assist in the delivery of Lifeline’s mission and growth
  • Drive individual pitch performance accountability by creating clear and measurable goals aligned with the business plan • Prioritise and manage a high volume of internal and external engagements and the fast pace of the eco-system
  • Develop, oversee and report against budget, ensuring effective cost control and value for money
  • Provide strong leadership and lead by example with an open, positive, enabling management style, ensuring effective learning and growth and team synergies
  • Effectively network with relevant members to create partnerships opportunities and adopt innovation

About you

  • Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in marketing, direct marketing or related discipline
  • Significant experience in leadership sales, commercial partnership or sponsorship roles, ideally within the sports or entertainment industries but strong experience in other industries will be seriously considered;
  • Proven ability in identifying, pitching and winning strategic commercial partnerships with an individual value of six and seven figures that deliver shared value to the business
  • Proven ability in managing relationships and high value commercial contracts with external and high-level stakeholders;
  • Experience developing and maintaining sponsor partnerships
  • Strong networks and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
  • Promotes a results focused culture, engaging and guiding others to achieve ambitious goals
  • Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and build rapport to facilitate trusting and credible relationships.
  • Disciplined and resourcefulness, with the ability to think laterally and solve problems creatively;
