About the role

Reporting to CatholicCare’s Executive Director the role of Senior Manager Child Education Services is responsible for the business operations of a Family Day Care Service, a Creche and a Hippy Program a home-based program targeting pre-school age child’s early learning experiences.

The Family Day Care business established in 1979 provides support services up to 75 Family Day Care services across. We proudly provide high quality education and care services to over 600 children each year. The service is rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard and as the Nominated Supervisor you will strive to continue this achievement.

Your role ensures the work we do is of the highest calibre, meeting all elements of the National Quality Framework including the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standards and Family Assistance Law.

As part of the leadership team, you will be an advisor on all elements relating to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. You will also be a mentor and key support to your own well established high functioning teams across the three services.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum Diploma or Early Childhood Teaching Degree (or equivalent).
  • Three years leadership experience within the early childhood sector. Family Day Care experience desirable.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the Nominated Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standards, EYLF, MTOP, the Child Safe Standards and Family Assistance Law as it applies to Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
  • Experience with the Assessment and Rating process.
  • Experience managing the recruitment, training and development of staff and Educators.
  • Experience in financial accountability, monitoring and budgets.
  • Familiar with CCS third-party software (Harmony software experience advantageous).
  • Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled policy and procedure designer.
  • Able to design and deliver relevant training packages.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood or related field.
  • First Aid certificate including CPR asthma & anaphylaxis (HLTAID004 or HLTAID012).
  • Working with Children Check for Paid Employment.
  • NSW Drivers licence and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Child Protection Qualification.
  • Willingness to obtain a National Police History check.
  • PRODA ID.
