About the Opportunity

A pivotal member in an engaged and dynamic Client Care Team, the Lead Intake & Brief Intervention Therapist will work closely with clients, families and other community members to provide coordinated access to our clinical services. You will be responsible for connecting with our clients and completing comprehensive screening assessments of clients, conducting brief intake assessments, coordinating supported referrals and providing a range of evidence-based treatment interventions.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work backed by an AHPRA Registration or other relevant Professional Membership
  • The ability to make recommendations and referrals to appropriate services based on the needs and risk assessment which take into account client choice and the range of service options available
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years desirable
  • Experience working with diverse groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and CALD communities
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including cultural awareness
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • A current NSW drivers’ licence with the flexibility to travel to multiple locations
  • The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation and Criminal Record Check (obtained within the last 6 months) with no disclosable court outcomes
