Program Officer - Burnie

We are seeking applications for a part time (19 hours per week) Program Officer to be based in Burnie as a member of our Communities for Children Initiative which aims to provide a range of programs targeting vulnerable/at risk families with children 0-12 years of age, living in Burnie. 

We are seeking applicants who are a highly motivated, and versatile professional to support the Coordinator in the delivery of the program: 

  • The position will operationalise appropriate policies, practices and guidelines and make recommendations to modify as required.
  • Under the supervision of the Coordinator, the position will oversee the range of services provided by Communities for Children.
  • The position will exercise autonomy and provide advice and direction on matters of complexity concerning service development, implementation and evaluation.
  • The position will ensure that all contractual obligations for Communities for Children are met and preformed to the highest standard possible including the collection and collation of data and required reports.

As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated experience in a similar supporting role. You will be highly organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be flexible with a high attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines to deliver quality outcomes. In addition, you will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated evaluation and conflict resolution skills.
