Family Programs actively promote and encourage positive parenting, which creates an environment of safety and wellbeing in which children flourish and reach their full potential. 

Program Manager Family Programs

Based in Hobart 

The Family Programs Manager will support and enable a passionate and highly dedicated team in the delivery of Family Engagement, Support and Education services across Tasmania. The role will work with Government and the Non-Government Sector as part of the continuum responding to vulnerable children and families in Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide ongoing leadership, line management & clinical supervision to ensure a positive team environment and facilitate ongoing professional development 
  • Develop, plan, manage and lead projects designed to improve outcomes for children, young people and families accessing CatholicCare’s Family Programs 
  • Undertake responsibility, appropriate decision making and exercise initiative and sound judgment for all aspects of service delivery within CatholicCare’s Family Programs, in consultation with the General Manager Family and Community Services

What you bring to the role: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
  • Experience in service delivery of Family Support Services, Child Protection Services, or a related community services area.
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable Persons
