About the role: 

  • Working in an early intervention capacity with children to improve mental health outcomes.
  • This role works collaboratively with other services, school and other community organisations to achieve positive outcomes for children at risk of or who have lived experience of mental health issues
  • Delivering early intervention mental health case management and group work support to children and families in the Launceston and northern area.

As a Child and Family Mental Health worker you will:

  • Provide high quality, client focused case management and counselling services
  • Need to have a good understanding and awareness of childhood development
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other relevant qualifications, and significant and relevant demonstrated experience
  • Hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration
  • Hold a current drivers licence
