About the Role

We are seeking a high calibre, highly experienced and qualified individual who can provide leadership and excellence across the following key management functions:

  • Service Delivery & Quality
  • Customer / Client Experience
  • Budget / Financial Management
  • Funding Relationship / Contract Management
  • Employee Engagement & Culture

Based within the Families Division this exciting new role will report to the Executive Manager, Digital and Place Based Counselling, and lead our portfolio of relationships and addiction counselling services.

The role will line manage (four) Practice Managers overseeing Parent Education, Men’s Services, Family and Relationship Counselling, and Gambling services, supporting them to deliver exceptional programs and to contribute to the development of CatholicCare as a Person-Centred organisation. In addition, the role will contribute to key organisation-wide strategies and initiatives.

Position Details

  • Full-time role
  • The primary location is Lewisham, and the post holder will need to travel to various program sites, including (but not limited to) Cabramatta, Fairfield Lewisham, Liverpool, Sutherland and the City.

About You

To be a successful candidate you will have:

  • The ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare’s Mission, Vision and Values and its Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • Extensive program management skills and demonstrated capacity to effectively manage budgets
  • Extensive experience in a service leadership role, analysing and implementing business plans and strategies and delivering organisational outcomes
  • Highly effective relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to build and leverage relationships across multi-functional or multi-disciplinary teams in order to achieve agreed objectives, and cultivate a high performing service culture
  • High level communication, consultation and negotiation skills and proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Excellent written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop complex submissions, briefings, reports and education materials for diverse audiences
  • Relevant program specific qualifications, expertise and professional memberships e.g. FDRP, APHRA, AASW, ACA or PACFA
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation as required by service
  • Demonstrated capacity to implement a person-centred approach to service delivery
  • Sufficient IT expertise to understand and utilise technology to create innovative service solutions
  • A sound understanding of social, health, education and/or disability sectors in Australia
  • Advanced knowledge of contemporary service issues and funding models in Australia
  • Ability to travel within Sydney
  • Formal change management qualifications desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated project management experience in a service setting
  • Established network of government, industry and community stakeholders an advantage
