We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to deliver creative marketing and communication campaigns for a truly valuable organisation.

About the Role

The Marketing Specialist is a member of the Marketing and Communications Team responsible for managing marketing campaigns, developing engaging content, event management and brand management. The role is responsible for:

  • Stakeholder engagement: work with key stakeholders to develop clear objectives, messaging and creative approaches to promote key services across multiple channels
  • Strategy and concept: developing and implementing strategic marketing and communication plans to support both CatholicCare and external clients, while managing timelines and budgets
  • Creative development: writing copy and developing creative concepts and digital initiatives through working with designers, videographers, photographers and our inhouse Digital Marketing Manager to develop creative integrated campaigns
  • Production and roll out: executing the campaign and developing the appropriate collateral through liaison with external suppliers
  • Evaluation: reporting on campaign outcomes
  • Developing content – writing of short and long-form content and editing documents for improved readability
  • Event management – large scale and community event management including coordination, development of collateral, dressing of stands and promotion
  • Brand management – developing a good understanding of both the CatholicCare brand and the other brands that we work with to ensure the application is in keeping with all guidelines
  • Operational management: developing and implementing clear and timely processes
  • Support Digital Marketing Manager with social media posts and community management

About You

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or related discipline or commensurate experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, preparation and implementation of successful marketing and communication campaigns, including digital marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to think commercially and strategically and to work in a changing and challenging environment
  • Successful track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously, proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities and outstanding organisational abilities
  • Excellent verbal communication and sound writing and editing skills with an eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Mailchimp and experience with Canva and Photoshop would be highly regarded
  • Experience with SEO and writing for websites would be highly regarded
  • Experience with hands-on implementation of social media campaigns and community management would be highly regarded
  • Previous experience working in the charitable, not-for-profit sector would be highly advantageous, particularly in the areas of foster care and family support services, including counselling and educational and support services for children, youth and parents
