CatholicCare’s Permanency Support Program implements Intensive Therapeutic Care model of service to support children and young people in our care who have experienced trauma and neglect. Youth Workers assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment where the children can feel at home while learning important personal and life skills.
Permanent Full-time and Part Time positions are available. Youth Workers operate on a 24/7 roster which include morning, afternoon and night shifts, including sleepovers and awake shifts as needed. As a permanent staff member, you will be expected to work weekends and public holidays if your shift falls during these times.

Please note: Successful candidates are required to gain a Diploma of Community Services within the first 18 months of employment if they currently do not hold one. CatholicCare is offering successful candidates, who have not yet completed a Diploma, the opportunity to complete their Diploma of Community Services whilst working with us in order to meet our program’s policy requirements.
