About the role

The Payroll Officer supports the payroll team in the processing of payroll for CatholicCare employees. Using MicroPay, this role will be required to assist with supporting the manual payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payment of entitlements including preparation of employee payments; termination payments; worker’s compensation; salary packaging and leave services.

This is a temporary part time role 38 hours per fortnight.

Duties

  • End to end payroll processing
  • Collection and collation of timesheets and leave forms from managers/ coordinators as per agreed timeframes and following up timesheets when necessary.
  • Data entry of pay information into the payroll system – Micropay according to deadlines.
  • Providing consistent, quality, and timely advice and support to internal clients
  • Provide payroll related information, including payroll reports.

Requirements

  1. Two years’ experience as a payroll generalist including managing end to end payroll.
  2. Experience with MicroPay (desirable).
  3. ConnX, Human Force or Sage People experience may be beneficial
  4. National Criminal History Check
