This is a great opportunity for Therapeutic Care Workers with experience working with (Youth) children, young people and/or families to join CASPA's Far North Coast Residential Care Team on a Casual basis.
CASPA provides trauma-informed therapeutic care to children, young people and families in Out-Of-Home-Care.
We are looking for people with skills, experience and talent in therapeutic care work that align with our vision and values: 'Inspiring People to Thrive.'
If you are looking to join a committed team making a powerful difference in the lives of children and young people, we would love to hear from you. We encourage and welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Our Therapeutic Care Workers will work directly with Youth in our Therapeutic Programs which include residential houses. You will be expected to establish a therapeutic care environment and positively manage the young person’s behaviours by working within a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, psychologists, special educators, social workers and families to provide a homely environment at our residences. We encourage our Youth to participate in the duties we carry out, which will include but are not limited to tasks such as cooking and cleaning. Through their daily activities, you will assist by taking young people to their scheduled appointments and outings, this might include mentoring, also following individualised support plans and writing detailed reports. Our dedicated carers will work across 27/4 rotating rostered shifts.
In order to be considered for interview for the above positions, applicants must already have obtained a Paid Employee Working with Children Check, hold a current First Aid Certificate, and hold a current Australian Drivers License. Criminal History Checks are requirements for all child related employment at CASPA.
