Key responsibilities

  • Manage, supervise and support Foster Care Program Support staff & Assessors across the CASPA Services Ltd. Northern PSP
  • Specialist resource as the provider of higher-level support to carers as needed
  • Assist in the development of TSP’s in conjunction with Carers, Clinicians, Caseworkers and Young People
  • Ensure TSP’s are understood by Carers and implemented
  • Development of yearly PSP training calendar and facilitation of Carer discussion groups
  • Instrumental in the recruiting, assessing and training of CASPA Services Ltd Carers
  • Compliance to legislation, policies and the OoHC Standards
  • Administrative Duties
  • WHS Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a safe, supportive and fair environment for young people
  • Lead a positive team culture

Key selection criteria

Essential:

  • Minimum of a Diploma and/or Bachelor in Social Science, Social Work or other relevant qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years Out-of-Home Care experience and carer/support worker management experience
  • A demonstrated thorough understanding of all Acts and regulations relevant to Out-of-Home Care
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team of support staff
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with interagency personnel
  • Advanced Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office software

Desired:

  • Experience in the development and delivery of training
  • Experience in providing behaviour support
