Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Early Parenting Specialist (EPS) at the Caroline Chisholm Society will have oversight for the:
The EPS role will also be a key position working across multi-disciplinary teams including CCS practitioners, volunteers, doulas, students and other appropriate services to deliver responsive and flexible interventions to families identified as at risk.
The successful applicant will have case work experience and a strong understanding of pregnancy, early parenting and the early years. You will have good communication, risk management, intervention, assessment and judgement skills.
Ideally applicants will have training and experience in the delivery of early parenting programs, and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current legislation including the Child, Youth & Families Act (2005); frameworks including the Best Interest Framework, Information Sharing schemes and the MARAM Framework.
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or equivalent is required.
