Carly was 15 years old when she was murdered by an online predator, and Carly’s Mum Sonya founded the CRF in her name in 2010. The CRF aims to educate, empower and equip communities to understand the opportunities and risks that can be found online through our harm prevention education program, Project Connect.
Our work also extends into:
We are seeking a volunteer board member with experience in financial management to be responsible for the oversight of the financial administration of the CRF. It is envisaged that the treasurer would be able to volunteer at least 2 hours a week to this role, although this can be flexible.
It is important to the Foundation that our treasurer has a genuine interest in the work the Foundation undertakes, and understands that our work has an international impact. The CRF is in a unique position in that our CEO, Sonya, advocates for change and reform through the telling of her lived experience of trauma. A person coming into this role needs to understand that this is a charity that leads directly from the heart.
As treasurer, you will be on top of finances so the Foundation knows how well it is tracking against budgets and income generated from donations so the Board understands the state of its finances.
