About Carers WA

Carers WA is the peak body representing the needs and interests of carers in Western Australia and is part of a national network of Carers Associations providing a range of support services, supporting Carers across Western Australia. Carers provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have disability, mental illness, a chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged.

About the Role:

The Receptionist/ Corporate Administrator is the first point of contact for all callers and visitors. The reception position is vital to the effective running of the office, in providing exceptional service to carers and administration support within Carers WA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the first “point of contact” for Carers WA, representing the organisation in a professional manner at all times
  • Handling all telephone calls and directing calls to the appropriate program area or staff member
  • Provide general administrative support to the corporate team including typing, distributing faxes, preparing files for DMS System, amending documents, updating lists etc
  • Maintain office and stationery supplies and reconciling the accounts
  • Be responsible for the entire carer membership process
  • Be responsible for incoming and outgoing mail
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of mail outs and organisation of events
  • Assist with building and premises issues
  • Manage room bookings both internal and external
  • Ensure reception area, surrounds and stationary stock are kept tidy
