Carers Victoria is the peak agency for unpaid carers, we are passionate about leading change and action to improve the lives of carers by representing and supporting them. We connect carers with a range of state-wide services including support services, counselling, advisory and carer education to help carers navigate the different challenges they may face.

We are currently undergoing a restructure to align the organisation to meet new objectives and improve efficiencies. THE ROLE

The Member & Supporter Coordinator will support the Senior Manager of Community Engagement, in collaboration with the marketing and communications function, the sector leadership function and the business development and partnership function with the management of supporter relationships and engagement.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Recruiting new members to Carers Victoria and maintaining Carers Victoria’s relationship with its existing members.
• Implementing membership strategies to attract and recruit new members and retain existing members, in line with the partnership and business development function and marketing and communications strategy.
• Assisting the Senior Manager, Community Engagement with the planning and delivery of member events.
• Taking a lead role in the coordination of the Young Carer Scholarship Program, ensuring compliance with Carers Victoria’s protocol for the program and in line with funding guideline.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in event management or marketing would be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience in a membership organisation.
• Experience working with external agencies and suppliers.
• Excellent organisational, time management, written and interpersonal skills.
