Carers Victoria is the peak agency for unpaid carers, we are passionate about leading change and action to improve the lives of carers by representing and supporting them. We connect carers with a range of state-wide services including support services, counselling, advisory and carer education to help carers navigate the different challenges they may face.

THE ROLE

As the Human Resources Coordinator this role will see you utilising your HR generalist skills to support the organisation across a wide range of HR functions in collaboration with the HR Manager. You will coordinate the end to end employee life-cycle operations and coordinate all HR and project activity.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Provision of first level HR advisory services to managers and employees on HR related matters, including Carers Victoria Enterprise Agreement interpretation, organisational policies, procedures and performance management support.
  • Contribution to the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Management of recruitment process including onboarding and induction.
  • Promotion of safe work practices, focusing on employee safety, wellness and welfare.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent in Human Resources
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Human Resources generalist.
  • Sound experience with issue resolution, implementation of L & D programs and preparation of reports, briefs and presentations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply provisions in current legislation and the Carers Victoria Enterprise Agreement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead on performance management issues including support to line managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an end to end recruitment function.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
