Carers NSW is the peak body in NSW for carers of all ages and circumstances. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers and improving their quality of life through support, referrals, capacity building and training.

As the new Carer Gateway Service Provider (CGSP) in Region 4 of NSW (Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast) Carers NSW is looking for two Team Leaders to oversee the delivery of Carer Peer Support and Carer Coaching in Region 4.

About the roles

In these newly created roles reporting to the Manager, Carer Support & Planning, these leadership roles are responsible for:

  • Establishing and managing the activities of the Peer Support Facilitation and Carer Coaching teams;
  • Ensuring that the operation of programs meets the requirements of funding performance agreements and is in line with the Carer Gateway Operating Manual and service guidelines;
  • Conducting Peer Support Facilitation and Carer Coaching across the region;
  • Evaluating the overall effectiveness of the delivery of Peer Support and Carer Coaching activities;
  • Maintaining effective data and reporting mechanisms and regular reporting; and
  • Managing, leading and developing the Peer Support and Coaching team members based across the region.

Essential to your success will be your:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Community or Aged Care, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated high level of skills and experience in leadership and management of teams.
  • Strong task delegation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge in development, implementation and evaluation of direct service delivery programs
  • Strong strategic and operational problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship development and management with stakeholders, peak bodies and government organisations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, coupled with highly developed computer literacy skills
  • Current NSW drivers licence and the capacity to work across regional offices

In addition, knowledge of the Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast (Region 4) will be highly regarded.
