Carers NSW is the peak body in NSW advocating for carers of all ages and circumstances. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice.

Engaged to deliver new program developing evidence-based coaching resources to assist older people and their carers to manage safely and sustainably in the home, Carers NSW is seeking an experienced Education Resource Development Officer to design a range of training resources for volunteer coaches to support older people and carers in the home.

Working alongside a Project Officer you will design, deliver and evaluate coaching resources across a variety of mediums, facilitating modules in a pilot phase and incorporating feedback and contributing to overall evaluation of the project. At the end of the project you’ll be able to showcase a suite of tested and refined resources to enable older people and their carers to achieve a high quality of independent living.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Relevant qualification minimum Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training or TAE40110 Cert IV Training and Assessment or working toward same
  • Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of the principles of adult education and group work, to appropriately develop educational resources
  • Demonstrated experience in developing education content and resources for delivery across various mediums such as face to face, video link, webinars and e-learning technologies
  • Experience in identifying training needs and analysing gaps
  • Strong research, analytical, time management and task prioritising skills
  • High level written, oral communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment

Experience working with older people and their carers living at home would be an advantage.
