About the role

Reporting to the Director of Health Strategy and working closely with the Chief Medical Advisor, this position will help shape the Heart Foundation's strategic clinical agenda. You will manage key projects and oversee the development of evidence-based position statements, policies and guidelines.

Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively disseminate clinical content and provide advice to relevant internal departments, including the wider Heart Health team, Marketing and Advocacy. Responsible for managing the Clinical Committee, you will interface with members of other Heart Health Committees to ensure effective governance and communication of clinical information.

You will be a positive manager, supporting and motivating a small customer-centric and high-performing team. You will identify ongoing professional development opportunities for your team and ensure they are up to date with current and emerging cardiovascular clinical issues and research.

About you

We are looking for someone who is tertiary qualified in a medical, health science field or cardiac care with a demonstrated understanding of the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

You will have sound knowledge of project management, research and evaluation methodologies and have experience conducting evidence reviews and translating this information into clinical positions, policies and guidelines for dissemination. You will be comfortable speaking to external audiences about the clinical work of the Heart Foundation and when required will represent the Heart Foundation on external working groups.
