In this full-time position, you will develop relationships via phone calls and personalised mail with our passionate supporters. This will involve delivering exceptional customer service and stewarding relationships. This is an extraordinary opportunity to develop your career in Australia's leading heart health charity at a time of significant growth in its Bequest program.

2020 will be an exciting time to join the Heart Foundation as we expand our Bequest team and work towards an ambitious goal to grow our current $30m per annum in income from generous supporters including a bequest gift in their Will. Join us in the fight to save Australian hearts from the single biggest killer of Australian men and women, heart disease.

Daily, you will communicate with our most valued supporters and work with health, fundraising and marketing colleagues to engage supporters and align them with our mission.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven customer service skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Proven knowledge or willingness to learn fundraising legislation
  • Ability to build rapport over the phone
  • Great listening skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated self-organisation and attention to details with a track record of meeting deadlines
  • Track record working both autonomously and as a part of a constructive high-performance team
  • Be empathetic, passionate, honest and able to think on your feet

Highly Regarded

  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building
  • Experience in fundraising (or sales) moves management
  • Demonstrated ability to engage multiple partners to support common goals
  • Ability to adapt complex messages to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to network and inspire other
