CARE International in Timor-Leste (CITL) promotes increased gender equality, stronger and more inclusive governance, and improved resilience to disasters and other shocks. CITL provides humanitarian support throughout the emergency cycle including preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery.
Make your mark by leading the evolution of the country’s most established social and educational development program into an exciting social enterprise in Timor-Leste. The Lafaek Social Enterprise Director will be the key leader in building the vision and driving strategy and operations for Lafaek. CARE is looking for a leader who will transition this successful project into a social enterprise and open doors for domestic and international funding and partnerships for Lafaek. A key responsibility includes developing an effective and sustainable business model to secure the long-term future of the project’s important contributions to Timorese society. The position reports to the Assistant Country Director for Programs for CARE International in Timor-Leste.
