About the Role

The Regular Giving Manager will be responsible for building on our established Regular Giving program, coordinating daily operations, maximising donor satisfaction, increasing lifetime value, managing fundraising suppliers and finding innovative ways to attract and retain new monthly givers.

The Regular Giving Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to acquire, retain and upgrade regular givers across a range of channels. This includes face-to-face, telemarketing, mail and digital channels. The Manager will maintain and enhance existing programs as well as research and test new initiatives. The role has overall responsibility for management and achievement of financial targets and other quality-based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Regular Giving program.

Key Responsibilities

  • With the Head of Donor Relations, plan, develop and implement an annual business plan and budget for Regular Giving (RG) in line with CARE Australia’s short and long-term strategic objectives;
  • Set, monitor and report on targets across the RG program - including ongoing tracking of income and expenditure against budgets. Prepare quarterly reports on RG program health/performance for senior management and the Board including providing recommendations for investment changes including where necessary stopping or changing certain activities;
  • Develop and implement an optimal selection of channels for acquisition of new regular givers across face-to-face (including sub channels and agency vs in-house mix), digital - incorporating innovative insights from across the sector on other emerging activities and channels;
  • Work closely with the Data Analyst to create reports and dashboards that will measure key regular giving metrics, analyse results and identify trends;
  • Develop and implement a cross-channel retention and upgrade strategy to maximise regular giving income including donor stewardship plan and associated communications collateral
  • With the Head of Donor Relations oversee the development of CARE’s regular giving proposition (and product) in line with strategic brand direction;
  • Own the day-to-day coordination and relationship management of RG suppliers - including training fundraisers, stock and collateral management, act as a point of escalation for all RG complaints;
  • Work with the Senior Manager - Data to oversee the twice monthly pledge run to ensure the smooth, accurate and timely running of all involved processes and reporting.

Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in management of regular giving program with a proven track record of success in managing acquisition across multiple channels and strategic fundraising.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget development, exceptional numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier and program performance in the fundraising sector.
  • A sound understanding of segmentation approaches and experience of managing data-driven marketing campaigns including ability to think laterally and innovatively.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and foster collaborative and productive relationships with internal clients and external organisations.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage and support numerous stakeholders to successfully deliver business outcomes within defined timelines.
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational and change management skills and the ability to innovate, evolve and develop strategies and plans in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of CRMs and Raisers Edge is desirable.
