Remote / Work from Home
Climate action is attracting unprecedented attention in Australia, regionally and internationally, and carbon markets are evolving rapidly in pursuit of net-zero and negative emission economies. As the only independent industry association guiding the business transition to net zero, The Carbon Market Institute (CMI) plays a central role in shaping a prosperous, climate-resilient net zero economy. Its 120+ members include primary producers, carbon project developers, Indigenous corporations, legal and advisory services, insurers, banks and emission intensive industries developing decarbonisation and offset strategies.
This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the public discourse on climate change and work with some leading minds in the industry, with the successful candidate having a passion for storytelling, strong organisational skills and the ability to show initiative and work comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for managing CMI’s website, including its Carbon Marketplace (to be relaunched in 2022) and Members Portal, and CMI’s social media channels, as well as supporting the promotion of CMI events. It will involve digital strategy recommendations, developing, editing and posting content, regular reporting and engaging with CMI’s membership base.
The position reports to the Senior Manager, Comms & Media, and will work closely with CMI team members, especially the CMI Events Coordinator.
