We are a leading provider of state-wide drug and alcohol treatment provider in Victoria’s public prisons, and the Victorian state-wide provider of Youth Offending Programs and Services to the Youth Justice sector. We also work with employers across Australia to deliver leading workplace wellbeing programs, including Employee Assistance Programs and Critical Incident Response.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a passionate, highly skilled Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Project Officer who is excited about improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by leading the implementation of Caraniche's 2-year Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.

The position

The position is offered as a three-day, part time fixed term contract to 30 June 2023. The role is based in Abbotsford, with flexible working from home arrangements being considered.

The key purpose of the position is to leading the implementation of Caraniche's 2-year Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan and provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders as they implement the action

items from the plan, as well as supporting Caraniche's Aboriginal Reference Group Chair and co-ordinating the External Aboriginal Advisory Committee.

A day in the life of this position might include:

  • Coordinate the finalisation of the RAP draft and approval process via Reconciliation Australia
  • Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders to assist them to implement their RAP action items
  • Monitor the RAP project items and report on progress to the Aboriginal Reference Group and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Liaise with external stakeholders as required by the Chair of the ARG
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for stakeholders as required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and information about Aboriginal cultural events, programs and services
