The Role

Caraniche is a Victorian-based company with 20 years of experience delivering a range of specialist psychological services to government, private and not-for-profit sectors. Due to significant growth across the company, Caraniche is looking for a self-managed Management Consultant to assist a small team to provide innovative solutions to transform our HR business area into a systematic, streamlined business function that is fit for purpose. Whilst this role sits primarily within our People and Capability Team, this role will also support initiatives across the wider business area.

This role will be based in Abbotsford with close access to public transport and the Melbourne CBD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and critically assess current practice and strategy, utilising Human-centred design (HCD) research principles & methodologies
  • Identify business, system, and people requirements, how they intersect and to design & develop scope of work
  • Apply systemic/ design thinking to inform scope of project, to design an improved process & framework and to align to the broader strategic objectives
  • Optimise system capability through innovative thinking
  • Assist in driving sustainable business & culture transformation through applying change management
  • Research and map business pain points or change initiatives analyse and develop solutions and recommendations.
  • Facilitate and lead design thinking sessions with leaders and their teams to establish new opportunities for their business units.

Skills and Experience

The successful incumbent will demonstrate:

  • Suitable tertiary qualification; Postgraduates with disciplines in Design, Business Systems or Innovation would be highly regarded
  • Significant experience in Project Management in a design capacity
  • Efficient and accurate approach to working style
  • Demonstrates clarity in dealing with ambiguity and complex problems
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal)
  • Customer centric approach with a focus on relationship building
  • Previous experience in healthcare or community services (desirable)
