We help young people cope with cancer in their family. Through Canteen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if they’ve been diagnosed themselves, we provide specialist, youth-specific treatment teams.
By feeling understood and supported, young people develop resilience and can rebuild the foundations that crumbled beneath them when cancer turned their life upside down.
No matter which role you are in, working for Canteen is how you can be the difference.
We are looking for a visionary leader and experienced manager to be the face of Canteen for the state of Tasmania. This role offers a complex array of opportunities for the right leader to set and lead the strategic vision for the state so that many more young people facing a cancer experience and their families will gain access to Canteen’s range of support options both face to face and online. You will build Canteen’s profile, brand recognition and the understanding of the full breadth of services offered by the organisation.
You will need to harness existing and create new networks in the government, health, corporate and NGO sectors to meaningfully drive Canteen’s cause as well as improving access to funding streams,
fundraising opportunities and partnerships for Canteen in Tasmania.
We are now looking for a passionate and highly capable leader to take and drive Canteen Tasmania into the future. The nature of this position will require the skills to manage and drive existing service and fundraising related strategic and operational plans as well as strategically leading the team and setting the vision for the state for the future.
