Job Summary

As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful planning, coordinating, and delivering of projects across Canteen psychosocial services.

In this dynamic role as Senior Project Officer you will successfully deliver a range of complex projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of service redesign, policies and strategies. It is through this vital body of work that improved services for Canteen young people and their families will be delivered.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will have considerable experience in project management and will be skilled in report and policy writing, preferable within clinical, allied health or other psychosocial contexts. You will be proactive, autonomous and a creative thinker, and able to work independently on projects focusing on having projects finished within allocated timeframes and budgets.

Selection Criteria

Experience & Skills:

  • Background in project management and policy writing
  • Innate understanding of project management principles and the adaptability to customise approach to suit the operating environment
  • Excellent relationship management, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills and the ability to provide a positive customer experience for all stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (telephone, verbal and written) and report writing skills
  • Organisation and time management skills to organise own work
  • Display ability to review and analyse situations, procedures and systems and to recommend changes were appropriate
  • Capacity to maintain efficient and productive outputs during times of pressure
  • Demonstrated experience of managing projects with positive outcomes
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Excellent computer and digital communication skills

Employment Details

  • Location: Flexible on location
  • Job type: 12 month fixed term; Full-time
  • Hours of work: 5 days / 37.5 hours per week
