About the role

The Support Coordination Lead is responsible for providing leadership and development of the Deaf Can:Do Support Coordination service and will be based at Welland. You will ensure the provision of high-quality support coordination, assisting clients to navigate their NDIS plans and enabling them and their families/ carers to understand and manage their roles and relationships with NDIS and its systems.

You will support Can:Do Group's strategic growth through the development of program objectives and the planning, implementation and evaluation of Support Coordination services.

In the delivery of services, you will develop relationships with participants and their families and link them with services of their choice that are aligned with their NDIS goals, providing innovative and creative options to ensure they maximise their opportunities.

About you

Your commitment to working in collaboration with individuals and families and with other human service and disability agencies will underpin your success in this role.

You are someone who can work autonomously but also works well with colleagues and is not afraid to offer up new suggestions and take ownership of your work.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Knowledge of the NDIS
  • Proven experience in working with deaf/hard of hearing people with other disabilities
  • Proven experience in providing support services
  • Experience leading and managing people
  • Ability to develop service delivery
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture and history
  • Fluency in Auslan

The salary for this role is commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition to the base salary, you can access generous salary packaging options that may significantly increase your take-home pay.
