The Quitline telehealth clinical service provides access to free and confidential telephone counselling plus information and advice through telephone and messaging services across Victoria and South Australia.

We are seeking a dedicated professional who wants to use their leadership skills and experience to support a team of 19 counsellors. This position will be based in Victoria and will work from home using a sophisticated telehealth platform.

About your opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Quitline, the Quitline Team Leader is the main point of contact for the team of Quitline Counsellors for operational support and all staffing related queries.

The Team Leader is also responsible for supervising and motivating the Quitline counsellors on a daily basis which involves providing feedback relating to day to day Quitline operations and procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring that the Quitline Counsellors are continuing their professional development and appropriately following policies and procedures to ensure targets are reached and efficiency of operations within the team.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Advanced Diploma in a relevant discipline or considerable equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a Contact Centre environment
  • Previous experience with Contact Centre software, ideally Salesforce CRM
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to verbally communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and coaching staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to show initiative
