Since our establishment in 1936, Cancer Council Victoria has developed an international reputation for our innovative work in cancer research, prevention and support. As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, we play a leading role in reducing the impact of all cancers on all people.
The Behavioural Science Division conducts applied behavioural research and evaluation to help design more effective cancer prevention policies, programs and services. Our work focuses on tobacco control, skin cancer prevention, diet and healthy weight, alcohol harm prevention and cancer screening.
About your opportunity
As the Office Coordinator for the Behavioural Science Division, you’ll be providing operational and business support for an internationally acclaimed team of behavioural researchers, and will contribute to cancer prevention. You will:
- Provide executive level support to the BSD Head of Division and senior researchers, including diary management and coordinating information flow.
- Manage the day to day divisional office administration, records management, meeting and travel coordination, and general administration protocols
- Provide support to Cancer Council Victoria’s corporate processes including personnel documentation and finance processing
- Be part of a collaborative team culture, contributing to operational strategy and improvements in a supportive environment
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- Business or Administration qualifications and/or relevant experience
- Experience providing executive support and building relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain administration and information systems, identify and solve problems and use initiative
- Experience managing time and prioritising tasks to achieve operational outcomes
- Advanced skills in office-based software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc
