The Cancer Epidemiology Division (CED) conducts a broad range of research aimed at expanding our understanding of the factors that contribute to or protect against the development of cancer, or survival following a cancer diagnosis. It comprises a multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, statisticians, dieticians, data managers and support staff, committed to understanding how to improve our efforts at cancer control.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a post-doctoral Research Fellow to join the Cancer Epidemiology Division. Reporting to the Head, Cancer Epidemiology, your role is to:

  • Plan and implement a programme of research focussing on bladder cancer epidemiology using the resources of international NCI Cohort Consortium
  • Work collaboratively with local and international researchers
  • Prepare applications for competitive grants with a view to securing ongoing funding for a line of research that you lead within the Division

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Sound understanding of epidemiological theory and research methods
  • High proficiency in statistical data analysis using Stata, SAS or R
  • Demonstrated experience in a research-related role
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships by utilising your effective communication skills and a willingness to work independently or as part of a team
