Since our establishment in 1936, Cancer Council Victoria has developed an international reputation for our innovative work in cancer research, prevention and support. As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, we play a leading role in reducing the impact of all cancers on all people.

The Fundraising and Communications Division (FCD) is responsible for ensuring that Cancer Council maintains a visible, engaging presence in the community; and to inspire and activate support from the Victorian public. Through a diverse revenue generation program, the Division works to ensure appropriate funds are raised to support the Cancer Council’s work in line with the organisation’s mission and values.

The Brand, Communications and Marketing Unit (BC&M) works across multiple channels and campaigns, to deliver innovative, omni-channel, impactful marketing and communications activities. This drives supporter, consumer and public engagement, fundraising outcomes and understanding of CCV brand.

BC&M works in partnership with multiple internal stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes and ensure Cancer Council Victoria delivers consistent brand messaging and experience for our many audiences across all our touchpoints.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Content Project Manager to join the BC&M. Operating as an internal creative, design and production agency, BC&M takes briefs from across Cancer Council Victoria’s business areas.

Reporting to the Creative Lead your role is to:

  • Co-design and implement processes that enable the development of strategically informed and creatively impactful work, making a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
  • Be the main point of contact within FCD for receiving creative briefs from across the organisation, ensuring these briefs have what it takes to produce timely, engaging, connective communications.
  • Work with the Creative Lead, digital and graphic designers and copywriters to prioritise projects across digital workflow platforms to ensure expectations are set and met.
  • Develop working relationships with new and existing third-party creative services suppliers; photographers, videographers and printers, to request quotes and deliver projects.
  • Develop and foster within FCD a Digital First mindset to identify opportunities

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Diploma in a relevant field, or demonstrated relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
  • Enterprise digital or digital agency experience
  • Demonstrated process-based management and coordination experience
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, including the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently and schedule tasks effectively
  • Proven stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in working with digital workflow platforms; Trello, Jira, Teams and / or Microsoft Planner
