This role’s primary function will be to support the Marketing & Communications team to develop compelling content to communicate the incredible work the foundation funds. Utilising skills in copywriting, design, and production this role will transform the technical content of the grants into compelling stories that can be used to fundraise with and engage ACRF’s supporters. This content will then be disseminated and utilised across key collateral and communications for ACRF.

The secondary function of this role will be to respond and support the requirements of the fundraising and marketing teams by developing timely, on-brand collateral across print, digital, social media, and more.

1. Essential skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • Strong copywriting and content development skills
  • Experience preparing for and conducting interviews – extracting information to build stories
  • Experience in developing content for marketing or fundraising purposes – ability to take technical information and transform it into a marketing or fundraising story/piece of content
  • Design and artwork skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite – ability to outputs files for use across multiple platform/channels
  • Experience with social media planning, content strategy development, and execution – with a focus on building audience engagement
  • Strong project management skills – with experience across multi-channel campaigns and working in short timelines
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience in WordPress
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

3. Preferred but not essential additional skills and experience

  • Experience in different areas of fundraising
  • Understanding of the Cancer Research space
  • Understanding of medical terminology, particularly around Oncology and areas of research
  • Photography and video skills
  • Experience using editing software and producing video content

This role will be a combination of in-office time and working from home.
