Climate and Health Alliance (CAHA) is the national peak body on climate change and health in Australia. A coalition of more than 60 health groups, representing more than 500,000 health and medical professionals, CAHA’s mission is to build a powerful health sector movement for climate action and sustainable healthcare.
Our vision is for the health sector to play a leading role in restoring a safe climate, and an ecologically sustainable, just and healthy world.

CAHA is an incorporated association and registered charity based in Melbourne with national operations and international partnerships. It has a small team of dedicated staff (approximately 5.0 FTE) leading operations, projects and campaigns.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the development and delivery of CAHA’s vision and strategy, at a unique time in the organisation’s ten-year history as the successful candidate takes over leadership from the founding Executive Director.
Reporting to an active and committed Board, the CEO will be an empathetic and strategic leader, a highly effective communicator and persuasive fundraiser, with the networks and capacity to deliver on CAHA’s ambitious goals. The CEO will have demonstrated experience with organisational and business planning and a drive to diversify CAHA’s revenue streams. The CEO will work closely with and be supported by the Founder as Strategic Projects Director.
The CEO reports to the Board and will work closely with the Strategic Projects Director. Direct reports include: Sustainable Healthcare Program Manager, Campaigns and Communications Officer, Projects Officer, Policy and Advocacy Manager, and Office Manager.
We would prefer the CEO be full time, but will consider a flexible working arrangement for the right candidate. Location is Melbourne preferred but consideration will be given to outstanding candidates based in other locations. The salary is $120,600 inclusive of 10% superannuation, with future increases negotiable commensurate with skills and experience.
