Why Baptist World Aid Australia?

If you have a desire to work in a highly skilled compliance & risk team, who are passionate about and committed to ending poverty… then you’re in the right place!

Baptist World Aid Australia is an international Christian development organisation working in 18 countries. We partner with like-minded organisations overseas to implement community development and disaster projects that empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Last year, our work directly benefited 332,391 people.

When you join Baptist World Aid, you’ll become part of a rich, 60-year history. As a Compliance and Risk Coordinator at our North Ryde office, you’ll be integral to achieving our mission of helping Australians tackle the injustice of global poverty. The role is responsible for driving good practice, standards and consistency in the management and review of compliance requirements, risk and policy.

We’re looking for someone with the know-how, passion, and commitment to inspire our faithful supporters to action on poverty… is it you?

Who we are looking for? Compliance and Risk Coordinator

Location: North Ryde, NSW

Position: Part-time, 12-month parental leave contract (21 hours per week)

A professional with demonstrated experience in coordinating policy or report writing, editing or quality assurance systems, you’ll utilise your skills to coordinate compliance tasks, submit reports, maintain policies and procedures, conduct research and provide project management support, all to the highest quality.

If you are a detail oriented professional, then this role is for you! You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. As a self-directed problem solver, you will conduct time sensitive research and deliver results that service the entire organisation. You will oversee all compliance items and work closely with the Compliance and Risk Manager on special projects.

As a Christian, you’ll share our vision for a world without poverty as God intends… and participate enthusiastically in prayer sessions, biblical reflection sessions and church services.
