  • Transform Aid International is now seeking two high quality Christian leaders to join the Board team

Transform Aid International is the Australian-based parent company of Baptist World Aid Australia. This group is one of the leading accredited aid, development and social justice advocacy organisations in Australia, affiliated with Australian Baptist Ministries. We are committed to empower people across the world to transform out of poverty. We also seek to mobilise members of the Baptist movement in Australia and globally to actively engage with this mission.

As a voluntary Board Member, you will have the opportunity to provide your expertise alongside a high-performing volunteer Board, supporting and guiding our global vision and mission, with a commitment to best practice and excellence in governance and leadership. The term of this appointment will be 6 years, and most meetings are convened in Sydney.

Selection criteria:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus and preferably current membership in a church affiliated with Australian Baptist Ministries. Ability to adhere to the Board’s Biblical Principles of Governance.
  • Commitment to Transform Aid International and Baptist World Aid Australia’s vision, mission and values.
  • Experienced Director/Board Chair and/or Board Committee Chair.
  • Mix of senior commercial and/or purpose-driven organisational senior leadership experience and capability.
  • Ability to serve as a senior participant on the Board in the future, potentially as a Chair, Vice Chair or Committee Chair.
  • Relevant qualifications and deep experience in best-practice governance.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of sound policies and strategies through constructive questioning and suggestions.
  • Ability to attend meetings, be well prepared and briefed, and fulfil requirements of committee work plans.
