Bush Heritage Australia, a national leader in landscape-scale conservation, is seeking a talented Philanthropy Executive.

Bush Heritage Australia is a national leader in landscape-scale conservation. Independent and evidence-based, we work where we are needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. We protect and help manage 11.3 million hectares of land, providing habitat for over 6359 native species, including at least 243 threatened species. We have two proven approaches to what we do: we carefully select, purchase and manage landscapes of high conservation value; and we work in partnership with others, including Traditional Owners, to achieve conservation outcomes.

About the role:

As a member of our expert philanthropy team in Perth, you will play a significant role in developing and applying strategies to increase relationships and contributions from individuals, private foundations and other funding bodies. You will join a dedicated team of major gifts and bequests specialists and steward strong relationships with major donors and prospects in Perth and the greater WA region and potentially other locations throughout Australia. Occasional interstate travel to other state capitals and to Bush Heritage reserves is required.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Demonstrated commitment to Bush Heritage’s vision and values.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the demonstrated ability to build relationships to achieve specific outcomes
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience communicating to a diversity of audiences including major donors, corporate representatives, Board members, senior staff and volunteers.
• Demonstrated proficiency in producing materials from multiple sources into a coherent and accurate summary.
• Availability to travel interstate on an occasional basis to visit prospects and donors and to accompany them on visits to Bush Heritage reserve properties as required.
