Bush Heritage Australia, a national leader in landscape-scale conservation, is seeking an Assets and Procurement Program Manager
Bush Heritage Australia is a national leader in landscape-scale conservation. Independent and evidence-based, we work where we are needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. Currently we own 37 reserves and we protect and help manage 11.3 million hectares of land across the country. In our mission to return the bush to good health, we provide habitat for 6,700 native species, including at least 226 threatened species. Two proven approaches underline what we do: we carefully select, purchase and manage landscapes of high conservation value; and we work in partnership with Traditional Owners and others to achieve key conservation outcomes.
The Assets and Procurement Program Manager will lead an organisation-wide asset management program, focused on buildings, plant, equipment and vehicles located across rural and remote Australia. Reporting to the CFO, the successful applicant will work directly with our field-based and head office teams to support the maintenance of operational assets in a safe and secure manner and to support strategies for insurance, further investment and retirement. The role will also support improved environmental and social sustainability outcomes for our operations in line with our Sustainability Action Plan and will ensure our procurement of goods and services meets the values of sustainability, probity and value for money.
