The Opportunity

Are you a postdoctoral researcher with an interest in adolescent health? Do you have strong project management and stakeholder engagement experience? This might be the role for you!

Burnet has an exciting new role for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Global Adolescent Health group to oversee research projects, support the training of research collaborators, supervise data collection and analysis, and lead the writing of key manuscripts and reports.

This position is initially for a 12 month period.

Let’s talk about you

The successful incumbent will have:

  • PhD preferably with a focus on adolescent health, mental health or sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
  • Experience utilising qualitative and quantitative research methods (mixed methods) from concept, protocol development, data collection to analysis, and publication
  • Highly developed skills in project management
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills especially in cross cultural settings
  • Ability and availably to travel once safe to do so
  • Highly developed writing skills and experience in leading publications
  • Strong communication skills, strong people management experience

The following experience is preferable:

  • Experience in SRHR or mental health
  • Experience in Adolescent health research
