About the role..

We are seeking an energetic and driven Administration Manager responsible for overseeing the management of Administration services at MetroRehab. You will ensure the provision of high-quality efficient service and ensure the hospital administration processes and systems are efficient, effective and compliant with MetroRehab Hospital policies, procedures and requirements.

In this role you will develop, lead and mentor a high performing administration team and ensure that staff are appropriately skilled to deliver essential administration functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all reception and administration staff across the hospital
  • Ensure patient admissions adhere to requirements of the service
  • Support, educate and mentor staff in their roles
  • Implement process improvements and ensure efficiency
  • Participate in the review of any incidents or complaints
  • Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders

About you..

We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual who can clearly demonstrate the following:


  • Previous experience in hospital / health care environment
  • Previous management experience
  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and patient focus.
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to support, educate and mentor staff in their roles.
  • Demonstrated high level administrative and computer skills including competence in the use of all Microsoft Office Programs
  • Patient management system experience
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, time management, prioritisation and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of health fund contracts


  • Relevant business degree / diploma / certificate
  • Certificate in medical terminology
