Who we are looking for

We are seeking a relational Youth Program Coordinator experienced in Small Group Facilitation, 3 days per week during school terms, who has a passion to work with young people and make a difference in their lives. The right person may have experience delivering a range of wellbeing programs like RAGE and Managing the Bull and will be trained in our own in-house programs.

Preference will be given to applicants who have at least 2 years of youth work experience. Experience working in High Schools would be beneficial. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building confidence and resilience in young people.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young people
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with young people, build relationships of trust and cooperation, and resolve conflict
  • Experience in small group facilitation, classroom management, challenging behaviour management
  • Demonstrated experience working in a strengths-based, solution-focused approach
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in Social Work, Social Science, Counselling or Theology
  • Current NSW or National Driver’s Licence and access to a registered vehicle

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with young people affected by Family Violence, Drug and Alcohol Misuse, Child Behaviour Management, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health or Social Isolation
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Strong computer and typing skills

Employment is conditional upon verification of a valid Working with Children Check and evidence of Police Criminal Record Check.
