We’re looking for a professional Youth Development Coach­­­ with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a Full-time 12-month maximum term basis, working 38 hours based in Broadmeadows.

THE ROLE

The role of the Youth Development Coach is to support the engagement and progress of young people in the TTW program, during and post-program.

  • Working with young people aged between 15-24 across Hume region in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs who have been disengaged from education or employment
  • Providing one-on-one support and group experiential learning activities to participants that align with their career aspirations, address personal barriers to education and employment and link them with support services as needed
  • Placing young people into employment and education to ensure they achieve outcomes

Salary will be in the range of $72,523.45 to $78,744.98 per annum based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for a Youth Development Coach who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, community development, youth work and/or education, or extensive relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience of working in an outcomes-focused environment
  • A depth of knowledge about the causes and consequences of youth unemployment and the kinds of strategies that are successful in helping young people follow pathways to work
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to liaise and build relationships with a broad range of people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
