We’re looking for a professional Stakeholder Engagement Consultant with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a full-time maximum term contract, working 38 hours per week based in Shepparton.

THE ROLE

The Stakeholder Engagement Consultant will focus on networking and developing relationships with employers, community partners and services to create and facilitate sustainable employment opportunities for a diverse range of disadvantaged jobseekers.

  • In collaboration with the Team Leader, engage with employer and community stakeholders to create employment opportunities which effectively meet the needs of jobseekers, businesses, and the local community
  • Design and deliver work ready workshops, presentations, and information sessions to jobseekers and relevant stakeholders to develop job seekers capabilities and support the work of the WLC
  • Undertake approved reverse marketing activities with businesses and organisations to place job seekers into employment
  • Identify, screen, shortlist and interview suitable candidates for positions and develop activities and training resources to improve job readiness capabilities.
  • Participate in the development of processes that support a culture of continuous improvement in the workplace
  • As part of the role, travel may be required to a variety of locations

Salary will be in the range of $65,000 to $70,000 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: employer/business development, recruitment, training, community engagement, case management and/or tailored employment support programs
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate and persuasively engage with a wide range of people, including participants, employers, community organisations, and people from a range of backgrounds
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and coordinating employment opportunities for disadvantaged job seekers
  • Well-developed written communication skills and the proven ability to develop and deliver training, presentations, information sessions and produce accurate reports for a range of audiences
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other digital tools and platforms
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and targets
  • Current full Victorian Driver’s license
