Summary of program and its objectives:

The Children’s Programs includes a number of programs including Early Years Development, Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY), Connie Benn Community Team, Integrated Centre and Community Impact – Frankston North and Mernda

Main responsibilities of the role:

The Program Manager will provide Operational Support to the Connie Benn Centre Programs activities that operate in the City of Yarra. The Program Manager will support staff and activities, operational requirements, and quality administration supports. The Program Manager will work closely with the key partners in the Centre including City of Yarra.

To meet the selection criteria, candidates will require:

Essential

  • Relevant qualifications in Education, Community Services, Social Work, and Social Sciences or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in community services, not for profit organisations, and children’s services
  • Relevant experience in knowledge of all aspects of children’s programs, staff management and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience and knowledge of Early Years Services and Children’s Frameworks
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for decisions
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems and make appropriate recommendations
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Expertise and competency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week in Fitzroy. Salary will be based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay. To view a full position description, please click here.
