We’re looking for a professional Program Coordinator NYEB with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a 12 Months maximum term full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

This position provides an opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team leading in the space of innovative youth employment nationally, to work in partnership with local communities to create meaningful, long-lasting change that leads towards systemic change nationally. The position offers the opportunity to support in designing local to national approaches to youth unemployment, and to translate your youth employment practice or policy experience into real-world, structural solutions.

  • Support the establishment, coordination and implementation of Community Investment Committees to create and drive local youth employment solutions across up to seven sites nationally, in partnership with the manager and Lead Partner organisation
  • Support the Lead Partner organisation in each site to develop and drive youth employment action plans with pilot projects that progress youth employment outcomes
  • Support the Lead Partner organisation to mobilise and maintain active partnerships with relevant cross-sectoral leaders from industry, VET, community, government, in youth employment
  • Manage the coordination, liaison and communication with key project partners on Community Investment Committees and relevant practice and service development working groups
  • In consultation with relevant external stakeholders, design and develop effective and engaging resources and tools to support the delivery of the NYEB model in sites, including youth employment action plans, project tools and resources, advocacy plans, coaching tools and resources for young people

Salary will be in the range of $74,531.95 to $80,194.32 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

  • Experience in developing and managing projects
  • Experience in community-development and practice focused on youth education and employment
  • Experience in building and maintaining working relationships and partnerships with cross-sector individuals and groups: including government, education and training, industry
  • Demonstrated experience in service development and high level written and visual communication skills
