We’re looking for a professional Precinct Project Officer with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a 12 months maximum term full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

The Precinct Project Officer will be part of an exciting social purpose precinct development project. This role will provide multifaced project support and coordination, to all aspects of Fitzroy precinct project development.

This will include supporting tendering and expression of interest (EOI) processes, through to assisting with stakeholder engagement and Board reporting. A particular focus of this role will be monitoring and reporting on progress against key milestones to ensure the project stays on track.  The role is well suited to someone with interest in and related experience in urban design and property project which they can bring to shaping the vision for the Fitzroy Precinct Project.

  • Provide advice on project management, as it relates to large-scale, place-based urban renewal projects
  • Define, plan, map and monitor project phases and critical project milestones, through the use of Gannt charts and/or project management software
  • Work collaboratively within the team and across the organisation to define and achieve objectives for the project
  • Support tendering and EOI processes for commercial advisors, development partners and end users

Salary will be in the range of $85,264.31 to $89,124.91 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for a Precinct Project Officer who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Degree and/or several years’ experience in project management and/or a related built environment field, such as civil engineering, architecture, construction management or urban planning/design
  • Excellent project management, planning and organisation skills; ability to work at both the strategic and operational levels and highly detail oriented
  • Strong communication and strategic thinking skills, including demonstrated experience in developing high quality written content and PowerPoint
